More pictures

Because I can't get over how cute he already is, I just have to post a few more pictures to show him off. With having these pictures posted now, it seems like everybody is saying that he looks like Daniel...which is fine because Daniel is a good looking guy but really people he's got nothing from me, only Daniel? Eh oh well we will find out when he is born in either January or February!

Anatomy Scan

After several ultrasounds and not having any good profile pictures we finally got a couple today!

Finally our little boy is still ALL boy!! So HA to the people who kept telling me "oh it's still to early to tell, they still look the same at this stage, don't get your hopes up".


So after a long 5 weeks of going without seeing or hearing the baby we finally had our anatomy scan today! I was excited to see D again and confirm that he is indeed a boy. Which as you can see from the pictures we did and with little effort I might add. He wasn't hiding much of anything from us today. We got to see his organs, they all looked good and in the correct places. Two kidneys, two brain lobes, four chambers in the heart, arm and leg bones all looked good. He made it difficult for the tech to get a good shot of his hands and feet but she was able too and there are five fingers on each hand and five toes on each little foot. His head was nice a round just like his belly, haha. And his heart rate was 140, he was sleeping again so we didn't have much movement other than the hands and feet moving out of the shot she was trying to get.

I'm so glad that he appears to be growing healthy and strong and right on track (and that he is still a boy)! I have a follow up with my Dr next week to go over the scan results as well as my blood screening, and probably just a doppler check. We hit the half way point in just a couple days!

Yawning and stretching

Pretty cool, I mean not all that much to look at as far as details go because he's still so skinny and early in development but watching him move around in the 4D was really awesome and I wasn't expecting to have that! I think that it will be cool if we are able to have 4D done again (or go pay for it at one of those places) when we're further along and he definitely has more fat on him and the facial detailing will be unmistakable I think that if we go somewhere we'll have the whole family be a part of it so they can see it too.

Baby Big Head

Today was our first official appointment and I was so nervous. Our little bug is growing wonderfully and measured a day ahead, again so we're 9w2d. We could see the arms and hands, and the little toes, and the heartbeat was just thumping away beautifully. I'm so in love with this baby! If you look at the picture (head is on the right and the toes are on the left) it looks like you can see a partial profile and the the baby has his/her arm up by his/her mouth.
Oh my gosh it's just the cutest thing ever, I can't get over it.

4:30PM today-I sent the ultrasound picture to Daniel's parents. His mom sent me a text back saying she thinks bug looks like Daniel.

Yesterdays Dr visit

After having a freak out yesterday because of my symptoms seeming to have disappeared and calling the Dr's office and talking with them. They suggested that I head down to L&D in SD as a walk in for the OB clinic there and they would see me for an ultrasound or at the very least just to talk to an actual Dr and get all my worries out. So we got to the hospital and checked in and waited what seemed like an hour but was probably 20 minutes. My heart was racing the whole time and I felt like I couldn't catch my breath. Finally we were then called back into the exam room and waited probably another 30 minutes for the Dr to come in. After he came in and asked me a few questions he went and got a nurse to help with the ultrasound machine.



Look what we found just chillin in my uterus. Our little bug!You may not be able to but you can see the arm buds and eyes and it's just so cool!

It was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. As soon as the Dr zoomed in on bug you could easily see the heartbeat! It was just such a beautiful sight I could have just stayed there for hours watching. Unfortunately the Dr didn't feel the same way, and since we were the last ones there and a walk in they were in a hurry to get home. But they did at least do measurements and bug
was measuring one day ahead of where I thought we were. So going on I thought we were 6 weeks 3 days but it was really 6 weeks 4 days. It was just so amazing that we got to see our beautiful baby and the heartbeat and have a picture. Also from what the Dr pointed out the placenta looks to be on the left hand side, and according the to Ramzi method that means we will most likely be having a girl which I had a feeling about when I first found out. But we still have a few weeks before we will know.

I feel so much better now and wouldn't you know my symptoms came back last night and seemed to be worse than before, I'll take it though!

Just a few more weeks before we tell everybody!

Ultrasound

Today I had an ultrasound appointment down at the Kaiser hospital in San Diego. It went well...I think. We left home at 1:30 and somehow managed to get to the hospital at 2. I don't know how that happened because I didn't drive any faster than 75mph the whole time. But anyways we got down there and I finished the last of my mandatory 32 oz of water (which I was instructed to be done with at least an hour before my appointment) and we grabbed something to eat. Around 2:40 we went to find parking and then wondered on down to radiology and got checked in (I was given an ID bracelet, which I thought was odd). We waited in the waiting room for half a hour and watched an old Friends episode then got called back. The tech did an abdominal ultrasound first, which was torture because she kept pressing on my bladder, taking a bunch of pictures. When she finished she let me get up and finally go to the bathroom before I had to go back and have a vaginal ultrasound performed. So the appointment went smooth but it kind of sucked because she didn't tell me anything at all about how things looked; if my lining was still thick enough, if I had cysts forming, if my uterus was the proper shape (though Daniel said he saw her type in long cul-de-sac shape, whatever that means, hopefully it's good or at least not bad). When she had finished I asked how things looked and all she said was that my Dr would have the results in 2-3 days and would call me then. Which definitely doesn't make me feel confident that things are all well. But oh well nothing I can do about it but be patient, wait, and hope all is well.
